KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
1. Project Work – Programme Design
a. Set up and deliver services for fathers (individually and in groups, face to face or on the phone) to increase their positive involvement and role in their children’s lives.
b. Set up and deliver appropriate services that serve to integrate fathers into existing projects and services.2. Project Work – Programme Delivery
a. Proactively conduct outreach and engagement work to engage local fathers, their families and communities in the work of the service, leading to referrals.
b. Deliver Saturday Stay and Play sessions for fathers within Family Hubs, with the aim of supporting Family Hubs staff to take on responsibility and allocate resources to run these sessions independently after 6 months.

3. Record Keeping and Evaluation
a. Comply with FM’s monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure that all outcomes of service delivery are effective.
b. To keep accurate written and electronic records, of case/group work sessions in line with open access procedures.

4. Collaboration and Teamwork
a. Develop and maintain sound working relationships with key statutory and voluntary organisations with the aim of developing joint working around fathers work and influencing mainstream services to meet the needs of fathers.
b. Support Local Family Hubs Services to establish the new ‘Parents as Partners’ Reducing Parental

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

Qualifications and Experience required:

Relevant Professional qualification or experience (in social work, community work or similar)
Experience of working across one or more of the following areas: education, health, youth work, criminal justice, parenting, conflict management.
Experience of working with fathers, boys and young men across different ages and ethnicities.
Experience of delivering training. Experience of setting up services in a community setting.
Experience of monitoring, evaluating and reporting the work.
Experience of working in a multi-agency and a team setting
Experience of working with diverse communities, including those that are disadvantaged and marginalised.
Experience of promoting diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity practices.
Experience of auditing systems / processes and making recommendations for improvement
