The Women in Dev Podcast

Spotlight Gender Partnerships
2 minutes of reading
The Women in Dev podcast interviewed key voices in the gender and development space to dive into timely topics such as accountability for Beijing 1995, how to use data for good, and feminist climate action.

2030 was the year we were meant to achieve gender equality yet, we are further away than ever. Rising cases of violence against women combined with job losses and economic uncertainty as a result of the pandemic have pushed aside any hopes of achieving gender equality this decade.

Despite these setbacks, organisations, activists and individuals continue to push towards a just, sustainable and equitable future that works for everyone, not just the privileged.

Women in Dev: The Podcast set out to explore and reimagine the international development sector, drawing on feminist principles to challenge the current power imbalances and to show what a locally-owned, women led development sector could really look like.

Aimed at those interested in a feminist, progressive development space, each episode features an interview with a prominent figure in the field and will unpick the status quo when it comes to development practices, everything from funding to representation to youth empowerment. You will leave with ideas and inspiration on how we can do development differently to achieve equality for people everywhere.
