We established a partnership with LGT Venture Philanthropy (LGTVP) with the goal to increase awareness of the organisation’s work and portfolio, crystallise LGTVP’s (and its CEO, Oliver Karius’) position as a thought leader on global venture philanthropy and grow engagement with new and existing audiences.

Problem

LGTVP needed an extension to their Communications team to support their daily social media content, including both evergreen and responsive content centering their portfolio organisations as well as promotion of their Impact Fellowship. On the side of this, the organisation’s CEO, Oliver Karius, also required support maintaining his own LinkedIn presence with Thought Leadership content on the topic of Venture Philanthropy.

Objectives

Provide social media support for both LGTVP and Oliver Karius’ platforms to promote the organisation’s programmes, portfolio organisations, subject areas and the Venture Philanthropy approach itself; driving engagement and expanding their audiences as a result.

Approach

We established a content strategy that helped the client better communicate with their audiences by breaking down complex concepts into digestible editorial. We used storytelling (case studies, data and videos of partners) to demonstrate the impact of LGTVP’s approach as well as rich creative to show collaboration and what the work looks like in practice. From there, we worked with internal teams to develop sustainable editorial and creative production and publishing processes for digital channels and established a thought leadership programme for CEO Oliver Karius, designed to capitalise on the individual’s leadership to function as a brand driver for the work.

Outcomes

There has been a 43% increase in average engagement and a 30% increase in followers across all of LGT VP’s digital channels since January 2023.
